SUG HOLDS EMERGENCY CONGRESS

The Student Union Government (SUG), University of Jos, has held an emergency congress to discuss security of students on and off the university campuses. The congress, held March 31, 2010 was attended by students from various hostels and campuses of the university at the Aluta Ground, Abuja Hostel.
 
Addressing the congress, the SUG president Comrade Hitler Pwajok said they considered it necessary to inform students that their welfare is being properly taken care of. He stated that additional four boreholes will soon be drilled to cater for the needs of the expanding student population, while hostel toilets will also be renovated. Pwajok also hinted that the university authorities are considering the request to construct a bridge to link the Village Hostel with the Naraguta Hostel Campus in Permanent Site.
 
Some students who responded commended the Hitler-led SUG for their efforts at keeping students welfare a top priority of the university administration.
