Determined to leave a lasting legacy in the department, president, Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOMS), Mr Henry Adamu has set up a committee to work towards the setting up of a departmental library. The committee is to come up with strategies for generating funds to actualize the project.
Speaking to Unijos Echo Online recently about the committee, Adamu said the need for a library in the department is quite urgent and he wants it addressed as soon as possible. He said the committee has already swung into action by making necessary research and useful contacts to achieve the lofty goal.
A cross section of students of the department who reacted described the library project as a welcome development, and called on the university authorities to complement the efforts by providing all necessary facilities to cater for the needs of the rising number of students in the department.
