DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE HOLDS DIGITAL WORKSHOP

The University Of Jos Department Of Architecture has organized a week-long digital symposium to train its students to use computer technology in their line of work.
The event, tagged ‘Archi-Symposium’ took place at one of the Department’s Studios at the Bauchi Road Campus.
A 400 level student, Mr. Patrick Igbah demonstrated to the students, the use of Autocard, a computer design software that enables architects to view their work in a three-dimensional format.
President of the Students Association of Architects (SAA), Mr. Chibuzo Okoli enumerated the benefits of using the Autocard software.
He said that it enabled architects to produce faster, neater, more accurate and precise work than the traditional manual drafting.
At the gathering, 400 level students also shared experiences of their Industrial Training (IT) with fellow students.
