A Theatre and Film Arts lecturer, Mr Dan Ella, has described the on-going Theatre Building project at the permanent site as a plus for the University of Jos.
Ella, who is also the theatre manager for the school’s Open Air Theatre, said the new structure would not only serve an academic purpose, but awould create an avenue for other socio-academic functions and boost revenue generation for the University.
He stressed that the new structure, which is being sponsored by the Nassarawa State Government, promises to be one of its kind in the entire West Africa.
He also appealed to the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai, to use his good office to tackle the technical and structural challenges faced by the department.
