The University of Jos; Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) fellowship, otherwise known as “God’s Force” put smiles on the faces of inmates of a motherless babies home by spending Valentine Day with them.
The group visited the Aisha Mana Motherless Babies Home located along Zaria Road in the Plateau State capital during which they interacted with the children and presented gifts to them in true demonstration of love.
President of the fellowship Mr. Bernard Amaechi said it was their own way of demonstrating the love of Christ which involves showing love to the less privileged.
He stressed the need for people to learn to show love to the less privileged in the society adding that the university is a factory where people not just learn, but also practice what has been learnt. “Giving back to the society is the best”, he said.
Also contributing, the vice-president of the fellowship, Mr. Tope Adebayo said love is a lifestyle that can and must be demonstrated by every true and sincere child of God.
He said reaching out to the underprivileged as they have done was “an act of practicing what you preach and showing that someone actually cares for them just as Christ loves His children.”
Matron of the home, Mrs. Esther Bulus and other members of staff who received the group gave them a brief history of the home.
The matron said the home was established to take care of orphans in the society explaining that the home accepts infants and children aged two years old and below.
