The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai has asked members of staff of the university to carry out their duties with commitment and diligence.
Prof. Hayward stated this at a two day workshop organised by the Office of the Registrar of the university titled “Follow up on Culture and Values” which held at the Senate Chamber. of the institution.
He further stated that the university “insists on this workshop because it is the first step towards transformation” and urged all participants to make good use of their time to bring value to the university.
Speaking at the event, a consultant with Tenable Concept, Ester Darlong said the greatest desire of the training is to bring a culture change and to make a difference in University of Jos.
She further disclosed that a true belief and the decision to start with small goals is the first step to attaining the change required to move the university forward.
The Registrar of the University, Barrister Jili Damdam in his remark, said the workshop is to focus on the vision and mission of the university which is expected to improve work ethics and productivity.
