The students’ chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), University of Jos, has elected pioneer officers to run its affairs.
In a message on the occasion, Chairman of the Plateau State Chapter of the NIPR, Mr. Fwenji Go’ar urged the new officers to justify the confidence reposed in them by members by performing well.
Represented by Mr. Amos Lungu, he further urged members to make good use of the library at the state office for materials on public relations, as well as the journal published by NIPR quarterly saying that this will help them in realizing their dreams as PR practitioners.
The election produced Abiodun Azeez, a 300 level student as the President, Anyasodor Faith, Vice President, Emmanuel Ejike, Secretary, Ayagwa Rita, Public Relations Executive and Anibata Judith as the Financial Secretary of the chapter.
Congratulating the newly elected executive members, the state Chairman of NIPR, Mr. Fwenji Goar represented by Amos Lungu, urged them to at all times represent members of the institution properly.
He further urged members to make good use of the library at the state office for resourceful materials on public relations as well as the journal published by NIPR quarterly saying that “this will help them in realizing their dreams as PR practitioners”.
The NIPR delegation to the even also included, Mike Ibang, Abdullahi Abdullahi and Richard Nanpon Jonah.
The activities of the students chapter had since inauguration last year, been facilitated by a coordinating committee headed by Phillip Ekigwe assisted by Utibe-Abasi Okon and Comfort Alifia until the elections.
