Dr. LWAHAS THANKS 400 LEVEL FOR THEIR ‘LEAVE A LEGACY’ PROJECT

Dr. Lwahas, Mr. Mabas and the Leave a Legacy Committee

The Head of Department, Mass communication, Dr. Sarah Lwahas, has said that the Department is ‘deeply overwhelmed by the kindness’ of the 400 level in their consideration for buying studio lights for the Department.

She said this at the presentation of the Leave a Legacy gift to the Department on the 6th of April, 2017 at the departmental boardroom at the Naraguta Campus.

Dr. Lwahas added that the studio lights will complement the equipment on the ground and hopes that after spending four years in the Department, the 400 level class can boast of being productive when they enter the wider society and counseled them to adhere to the rules of the profession.

The Chairperson of the Committee, Mr. Collins Eze, described the components of the studio lights which is operated digitally. He added that the studio lights can create a number of effects and can be used for both motion and still pictures.

Eze used the opportunity to thank the staff of the Department for all their support to the 400 level class and pledged his assistance in making himself available to set up and operate the studio lights whenever he is called upon.

Other members of the Committee include Mr. Emmanuel Kalu, Mr. Dalyop Joseph Dalyop and Miss. Amy Attsar Na’anniet and present at the event was a representative of the lecturers, Mr. Mabas Akila and Mrs. Comfort Bulus, the 400 Level Coordinator.

Leave a Legacy is a project where final year students in the undergraduate and post graduate class make a donation of academic books or equipment for use by the returning students to enhance academic excellence in the Department.
