FACULTY OF ARTS HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT SUSPENDS THREE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBERS.

The faculty of arts house of parliament university of jos has on Monday, 3rd April 2023 Suspended three members of the executive arm of government over varying degrees of offences ranging from misappropriation of funds to issues of contempt.

The sixth assembly reached these resolutions after eight long hours of deliberation which held at the arts faculty situated at the permanent site campus of the university.

The position of the assembly was made known via a press statement released to the public and relevant  authorities.

Those suspended included the faculty president Nankel Francis due to unlawful use and misappropriation of faculty funds, as well as issues surrounding constitutional violation. The secretary general of the faculty Doekyilnaan Ayuba, on a one count charge of “disrespecting the hallowed chamber.” Also suspended on grounds of financial misconduct is the financial secretary of the faculty, Victor

The parliament solicited for calm from fasites pending further and elaborate investigation.

As at the time of filing this report, all efforts to contact the speaker of the house as well as suspended members of the executive to get their opinions via WhatsApp and phone conversation has proved unproductive.
