The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Jos, has revealed plan to officially recognised the establishment of the Pharma Tech Innovators Club (PTIC) to provide a dynamic platform that will foster innovation, collaboration and professional growth among its students.
The Faculty President, Rambong Gideon Naptip, disclosed that the proposed club has received necessary backing from authorities and they are ready for the launching during the forthcoming Pharmaceutical sciences week on campus. “The Club received support and endorsement from relevant stakeholders, Lecturers, Professionals, Alumnus and Students. I believe their involvement is integral for its success.
Naptip believe that the club would help students learn about new technologies, hands-on research methods, at the same time provide opportunities to network and collaborate with professionals in the industry.
He said “The club can help students learn about new developments in pharmacy and give them a chance to network and make connections. It can also provide a space for students to share their ideas and get feedback from other students. Pharma Tech Innovators Club is open to all students of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences who have interest in technology, leadership and entrepreneurship irrespective of academic level”.
He enthused that with University of Jos commitment to academics excellence, the club will support by providing practical platform to further improve the knowledge of students in Pharmaceutical technology.
“The institution has always been committed to providing the best education and opportunities for its students. To this end, the Pharma Tech Innovators Club aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. This club will serve as a hub for students, increasing interest in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve drug development and discovery”. He added
The Pharma Tech Innovators Club in the ever evolving modern world of Pharmacy is dedicated to offering a range of activities designed to engage, educate and empower students with new technologies and discoveries changing the way drugs are developed, manufactured and delivered.
