Paul Hirekaan holds Financial Conference at Unijos, Empowers Students with Startup Grants

Mr Paul Hirekaan, a successful Forex trader and Philanthropist has recently held a financial conference at the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Jos, where students were empowered with mini businesses and skills to enable them cope with the current economic downturn in the country.

Mr Hirekaan, who is also known as “Rich Young Ruler”, encouraged students to venture into businesses, so as to sustain themselves while studying. He assured all interested students of his willingness to support them in their various business endeavors.

The empowerment scheme of the conference saw Mr. Hirekaan award five students with the sum of five hundred thousand Naira each to support their mini businesses, while Nadabo Ruth Aku, a 100 level student of the Accounting department, was given a hundred percent scholarship for her eloquence and fluency in speech.

Similarly, Paul and Topsham, 200 level students from the Faculty of Management Sciences, were also granted scholarships for their outstanding musical performances in the programme.

Miss Precious, a beneficiary of the five hundred thousand Naira cash prize expressed her deep appreciation to Mr. Hirekaan and everyone involved in the success of the program. She encouraged her fellow students to venture into businesses regardless of how small it may be.

Sarah, a 300 level student of the department of Business Management in her reaction revealed that she had learnt a lot from the program and would like to see more in the campus.

The conference was organized in collaboration with Tembyen Amos Dashe, the CEO of Tosh Kitchen, who during one the sessions of the conference also provided insights on branding a business.

The students appreciated the organisers and expressed their desire for a second edition in the future.
