The Students of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Jos, have displayed various mind blowing innovation products developed using theoretical and practical knowledge to groom all round pharmacists and better the society at large.
The exhibition which is part of activities lined up for the 29th annual week of the Pharmaceutical Association Students of Nigeria (PANS), was inspected by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof.Ndidi Ngwuluka together with other lecturers as students displayed their brilliant inventions.
The Dean expressed her undoubted belief in the students and their ability to do great things ahead. She applauded them for their individual contributions towards the growth of the Faculty.
One of the novel innovation products at displayed was “White Gold”, an agricultural improved fertilizer, developed by the 300 level students and associates from various levels in the faculty. The product was said to be high in calcium, Nitrogen and the main components for its make up are eggshells and recycled waste from bakeries.
Similarly, another group of students whose innovation stood out were the “CareSync.com.ng”. The data collection software records patient’s history that could be accessible by any health care establishment. The features of the software also include booking of appointments, information about patients online and overall, a collective hub for emergency cases.
Furthermore, a group of student wrote a medical guide book for emergencies that is both professional and patient friendly.
Deborah, a 300l student of the faculty expressed joy over the exhibition, as she commends the students for dedicating their time and efforts to make it a success.
