PANS rounds off Students’ week with colourful cultural day

The Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria Students (PAN), University of Jos chapter, has held its cultural day event to mark the end of the five-day-long Students’ week.

The spectacular event witnessed students showcasing their different cultural attires and delicacies.

Plateau state represented in the exhibition by different tribes displayed their rich cultures and traditions. Berom which is the largest in the state, known for agricultural and life stock heritage impressed the audience with their beautiful cultural attires alongside the Jukun.

Similarly, the Ngas tribe known for their hunting and gathering skills also entertained the audience with their dances, at the same time demonstrated their impressive cutlass and spear display skills.

The Gwari and the Quanpan also graced the stage with their electrifying cultural dances, while other tribes such as the Igbos, Yorubas, Igala and Idoma appeared in their distinctive alluring attires which gave a striking balance with their tradition.

Bethel a 300 level student from the faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences, who dressed beautifully his traditional attire, expressed his excitement about the event describing it as platform for showcasing different tribal values, culture, food and diverse ethnics ways of life.

The cultural day brought to an end the eventful 29th PANS students’ week that witnessed medical outreach, innovation exhibition, Hackathon competition and others.
