Students get free WiFi to aid learning

 The University of Jos management has installed new Wi-Fi routers at the demonstration centre in Naraguta hostel, Permanent site. The recently installed routers provide fast and efficient internet at close range.

The Wi-Fi which can connects with or without light, unlike other routers at ICT block permanent site makes it accessible to students at their convenience.

Students in the hostel have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the school management, stating that this would be of great help to them in terms of sourcing for materials related to school activities and also for leisure purposes.

Spencer, a 400l student of the department of dentistry said, “I am really happy with this improvement in the hostel environment, it is really a good idea for the school to have installed new Wi-Fi at the hostel site. I also like the proximity between the demonstration centre and my hostel, because it’s just a stone throw.”

The students, while appreciating the management, also solicited for seats to be provided for adequate comfort of students, while surfing the net.

Another student, Oroke Oghenewairhe also acknowledged and commended the school management for installing the Wi-Fi in the hostel environment, while also urging them to provide sitting facilities not only for WiFi but for relaxation in order to complete this good deed.

Students from Abuja, PG, Zion and Naraguta hostels will benefit from this new development.
