Lisha Dachor Seleme Sets Guinness World Record for Longest Nail Painting Marathon

In a remarkable display of dedication and perseverance, Lisha Dachor Seleme has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest nail painting marathon.

The Nail-A-Thon, which took place at the Tamarald Event Centre in Jos, began on April 28, 2024, and concluded on May 1, 2024, at 10:30 PM, lasting a total of 72 hours and 3 minutes.

Throughout the marathon, Lisha was allocated 5 minutes of rest per hour and painted an impressive 60 nails per hour, resulting in a total of 4,320 painted fingernails.

The people of Jos rallied behind Lisha, with diverse groups showing up to support her endeavor. Notable visitors included the face of the Jos Festival makeup artist, AOP, comedian Osama Akpunonu, and the University of Jos student community. Former Governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, also made an appearance to show his support.

In a touching gesture, to show support Dayve Artz presented a portrait to Lisha Dachor in support of her record-breaking attempt.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State commended Lisha for her remarkable achievement, stating, “I proudly join in celebrating Lisha Seleme Dachor’s record-breaking spirit of the young talent from Plateau State on her Guinness World Record attempt for the longest nail art marathon. Your determination aligns with my administration’s policy objectives for the youths and inspires us all!”

Lisha’s journey is even more remarkable as she is the first person in the world to attempt this particular Guinness World Record. Her perseverance and dedication have made history, and her achievement is a testament to the remarkable talents and resilience of the people of Plateau State.
