The Alpha Spikers team defeated Royalty Attackers 3-2 in a hard-fought volleyball match held at the Village Hostel Court to commemorate the annual hostel’s week.
The thrilling showdown saw Royalty Attackers come out strong in the first and second set of the match, showcasing their powerful serves and impressive Attacks to take an early lead.
The Alpha Spikers, however, fought back with determination, putting up a strong defense and executing precise plays to narrow the gap.
As the match progressed, both teams displayed exceptional teamwork and skills, thrilling the crowd with long rallies and impressive saves.
The Alpha Spikers managed to maintain their lead, relying on their experience and cohesion to outplay their opponents.
In the end, the Alpha Spikers emerged victorious, defeating the Royalty Attackers in a hard-fought match of 3-2. The players from both teams showed great sportsmanship and camaraderie, making the match a memorable experience for all in attendance.
Royalty Attackers player, Simtong, in his post- match reaction expressed his disappointment about the final outcome of the match. He said, “We started on the strong foot but lost the match as a result of complacency on our path”.
The Coach of Alpha Spikers David Usoji who expressed his delight at the final outcome of the match, commended his players for their resilience. “Even though the beginning of the game was a bit tricky, we rolled back and takes the game” he said.
