The Faculty of Engineering students of University of Jos have wrapped up their week-long students’ week with colorful uniforms and engaging music and dance performance.
The Students who stormed the permanent campus in grand style, showcased energetic and exhilarating performance, demonstrating their passion for arts even as they pursue their technical studies.
The president of Faculty of Engineering, Comrade Steadfast Agoro, expressed delight in the imminent graduation from the institution. He said, “I’m elated knowing that my stay in this institution as a student will soon come to an end’’.
He explained that being a leader comes with so many challenges but God as saw him through it all.
Comrade Agoro further implored his fellow students to remain committed and dedicated in their studies as that is the primary reason for being in school.
Nweke Moses Onyemawho, the secretary General of the faculty, expressed gratitude to God for the journey so far. He said, ‘’I sincerely want to thank God Almighty for seeing us through our week. As a final year student, I appreciate all heads and lecturers, in the faculty for their impact in us’’.
Elijah Lawal Ismaila, a student in the faculty, appreciated the organizers of the week-long festivities and encouraged them to maintain the standard. He said, “This is where we meet and establish relationships with students from other departments within the faculty.
David Rotimi Abioye, a 100 level student in the faculty, expressed delight and appreciated the students especially the final year students for their patience and wished them success as they go into the wider world.
The students used a variety of musical instruments to create a vibe that resonated with the emotions of other students, who clapped and cheered them on throughout the performance.
The display left an indelible impression on those who witnessed it, showcasing the importance of bridging the gap between science and art.
