Leading German personal care brand, Nivea, brought excitement to the University of Jos with its campaign, The Nivea Sabi Experience.
The event, held at the Village Hostel, was designed to promote the affordability and quality of Nivea products while engaging students in exciting activities.
According to the program coordinator, Mr. Darlington Egiro, the idea behind the campaign was to give students the opportunity to experience the superior quality of Nivea products, irrespective of cost.
“We want to correct the impression that Nivea products are too expensive and cannot be afforded by low-income earners, especially students,” Mr. Egiro said.
As part of the campaign, Nivea introduced a smaller roll-on that is pocket-friendly and still of high quality. Students who participated in the campaign were given the opportunity to win prizes, including gift items and cash.
The campaign was characterized by music, dance, games, and gift items, and was described by students as a fun-packed experience.
“I participated in all the games and was given a brand new towel,” said Miss Agnes Adamu, a student of Sociology.
Similarly, Miss Miracle John, a 300-level Student of Economics, described the event as the first of its kind. “The company came with a different initiative that involves dancing competition, playing chess, snapping, and posting on my social media page, all of which earned me points to get a prize,” she said.
The event featured a variety of interactive activities that kept participants entertained and engaged throughout the day. From music and dance competitions to games like chess and social media challenges, students had multiple opportunities to win prizes such as branded gift items and more.
Offering his perspective, Muengnenka Lar Iliya, a 200-level student of Law, remarked: “I didn’t get to play any games, but seeing others win prizes and enjoy themselves was truly delightful. The atmosphere was lively, and it was great to see an event that brought students together in such a fun and engaging way.”
The Nivea Sabi Experience was a part of the company’s efforts to increase its presence in the Nigerian market and to promote its products to a wider audience.
