The National Association of Geography Students (NAGS) has announced key appointments to its presidential team, aiming to promote excellence and effective leadership within the association. These appointments demonstrate the Association’s commitment to merit-based leadership, ensuring that the most qualified individuals are working together to promote the interests of NAGS.
The newly appointed officials are as follows: Chief of Staff, Nta Shedrach Davou, President, Ejeh Moses Ogwuche, Vice President, Pam Ruth Jockson, Personal Assistant: Dashe Thomas Nashwal, Senior Special Adviser on Academic Matters, Distinguished Senator Chuckwudozie Godwin David, Head of Media and Publicity: Akobe Kehinde Joshua, Special Adviser on Programmes/Policy, Caleb Adeosun, Special Adviser on Environment, Adekole Maria, Special Adviser on Special Duties: Mangdik Roi John, Special Adviser on Financial Management, Distinguished Senator Nansel P. Kurmi, Special Adviser on Budget and Planning, Maisaje Katlong, Mathew, Special Adviser on Entertainment, Michael Tobi Adedokun, Special Adviser on Sports, Adekunle Israel, Special Adviser on Support and Counselling Nathaniel Jemimah Swemishe and Secretary General, Timzing Deligate Emmanuel.
The President, Ejeh Moses Ogwuche, emphasized that these appointments were based on merit, ensuring that the most qualified individuals are working together to promote the interests of NAGS. This approach demonstrates the association’s commitment to excellence and effective leadership.
He also urged all students to extend their support and cooperation to these newly appointed officials as they diligently discharge their duties for the betterment of the department. “We wish the new leadership team all the best in their endeavors to promote excellence,effective leadership and look forward to seeing the exciting developments that they will bring to NAGS.”
The new leadership appointments in NAGS marked an exciting new chapter for the association. With a talented and dedicated team at the helm, NAGS is well-positioned to achieve great things and make a positive impact on the department.”
Some students also expressed their thoughts on the event. Kehinde Joshua, a student of department of Geography and Mining expressed his joy “this event is a success which has always been my prayer.”
Nathaniel Jemima a student of Geography and Mining department also shared some of the challenges faced prior to the event “the swearing in has been postponed on many occasions due to the absence of some coordinators who were unavoidably absent.”
Adekole Maria also a student of Geography and Mining Appreciated God for the successful swearing in amidst obstacles.
